FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India)**

FSSAI registration or license is mandatory for food business operators in India. It ensures that food products meet safety standards set by the FSSAI to protect public health. Different categories of businesses require different types of FSSAI registrations based on their size and nature of operations.


MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises)

MSME registration is for small and medium-sized enterprises that qualify based on investment in plant and machinery or equipment. It provides various benefits such as subsidies, schemes, and easier access to credit from banks. MSME registration is governed by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.


ESI/PF (Employee State Insurance/Provident Fund)

ESI and PF registration are mandatory for businesses with a specified number of employees. ESI provides medical and cash benefits to employees, while PF is a retirement savings scheme. Both registrations ensure social security benefits for employees and are regulated by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).


IEC (Import Export Code)

IEC is a registration required by businesses engaged in import and export activities. It is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and is mandatory for international trade transactions. IEC facilitates customs clearance and availing export incentives.


DSC (Digital Signature Certificate)

DSC is an electronic form of a signature used to authenticate and validate digital documents. It ensures the security and authenticity of online transactions, filings, and communications. DSCs are issued by licensed certifying authorities under the Information Technology Act.


ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

ISO certification ensures that a company's products, services, and processes meet international standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. It enhances credibility, competitiveness, and customer trust. ISO certifications are issued by accredited certification bodies.


PAN/TAN (Permanent Account Number/Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number)

PAN is a unique 10-digit alphanumeric identifier issued by the Income Tax Department for individuals and businesses. It is essential for filing taxes, opening bank accounts, and conducting financial transactions. TAN is required for deducting or collecting taxes at the source.


80G

80G registration allows donors to claim tax deductions for donations made to eligible charitable organizations under the Income Tax Act. NGOs and charitable institutions must obtain 80G certification from the Income Tax Department to attract donations.


12A

12A registration exempts charitable trusts and institutions from paying income tax on their income. It is granted by the Income Tax Department to organizations that meet certain criteria for charitable activities.


FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act)

FCRA registration is mandatory for NGOs and organizations receiving foreign contributions or donations. It regulates the acceptance and utilization of foreign funds to ensure transparency and accountability in the utilization of foreign contributions.


CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

CSR refers to the corporate responsibility of companies to contribute positively to society through voluntary initiatives. Companies meeting specified criteria are required to spend a portion of their profits on CSR activities, as mandated by the Companies Act.
